Seeds
Storing bags of silica gel with your seeds will help keep them dry and fresh for much longer.
Janet Oxford
Use empty spice containers with shaker tops to help sow seeds. They are ideal for storing your seeds after they have been cleaned and thoroughly dried. When sowing your seeds, just gently shake them onto the soil in the seed trays, pots or drills. This should enable you to get an even sowing without too much waste and hence less pricking out to be done later. Salt shakers can be used for very tiny seeds as this will allow you to shake out the seeds evenly and leaving any loose chaff in the shaker.
